Kush Valley Lemon Sorbet is a sweet and slightly sour strain with high yields.
It started about 9 years ago when Seedism created their first Lemon Kush hybrid, although Seedism’s Lemon Kush was an incredible strain on its own, they decided not to release it as many other companies already offer a Lemon Kush in one form or the other and it almost looks silly to sell something that is already offered dozens of times.
Seedism initially made the Lemon Kush for the simple reason that they had the original breeding line in their genetic library for many years, the Lemon Skunk (F1 hybrid) clone and the original Hindukush (IBL) clone, and therefor would make their Lemon Kush more true to its name then most others on the market.
After a few test hybrids Seedism decided to keep using the Pot of Gold as parent, still offering enough of the intense Hindukush taste and resin production, but with a much higher yield in its offspring thanks to the original Skunk nr.1 (The Pure) breeding qualities.
Seedism’s Lemon Kush came through their test grows as a true champion, high in Limonene terpene content, high yields and beautiful dense nuggets all along the entire plant, but they were still stuck with not wanting to release yet another Lemon strain.
If it wasn't for one of Seedism’s growers finding a rare phenotype when he grew more then 250 seeds, this strain could have easily never been released.
The high Limonene content meant that flavors were nicely balanced between Lemon and Grapefruit and this trait showed very consistent among the high numbers of plants Seedism grew, but the one phenotype found had a intense mandarin/tangerine flavour like they had never seen before in this genepool.
In 2017 Seedism did a few hybrid experiments and backcrossed this Mandarin pheno with their Pot of Gold, the Lemon Skunk and selfed her with the Mandarin pheno to see how their next generation of seeds would behave.
Seedism found that the selfed version still showed the stability of her parents and behaved more like an F1 hybrid then a selfed strain, strong vigor and very uniform plants with the only difference found in the terpenes, now ranging from Lemon and Grapefruit to Mandarin and Tangerine.
Now Seedism feel confident that their Lemon Kush will bring something spectacular to the smoking sessions, a smooth and sour sorbet of Lemon and Mandarin with the heavy hitting and long lasting aftertaste of the pure Kush goodness from the Pot of Gold PLUS.
Seedism now adds the Kush Valley title to all the new strains they make with the Pot of Gold PLUS, everything they produce with Kush Valley in its name will have a surprising Kush kick to it and incredible resin production, making them extremely productive for rosin or solvent-less extractions.
Kush Valley Lemon Sorbet is an easy plant to grow, made with never before feminized genetics so very stable and uniform plants should be expected.
